Default Special Random Arenas

I dont like it if I play Random Arena and all the unkwown people there. There are leavers and so on and it's annoying, but nevertheless that's the risk in playing random arenas (I know ).

So this would be my suggestion:
Setting up two different types of Random Arenas and the type can easily be switched:

1. The simple and good, old one

2. A special type in which you can join in with a buddy so that you form a party of two

Then you randomly get into a party of four, consisting of your old two-member party and a new one, who joined up before the battle.
(2+2 vs. 2+2)

And/ Or:

Make a party of three people and get the 4th one randomly (3+1 vs. 3+1)

And/ Or:

Party of 4 chosen people who is randomly coupled with another team of 4 chosen people so that the battle would be 8 vs. 8 (4+4 vs. 4+4)

Looking forward to hearing your opinions!!

That is the point of a 'random' arena. Don't like random, try team arena!

I understand what you are looking for, but I don't think that it will fly.

Do they still allow you to go in with 2 and get 2 other randoms in team arena? I know you used to, but I haven't played team arenas in a year or 2, never really liked them.

You made a similar thread like this that really should go in 'Q and A', after, I think,5 conscutive wins in Random Arenas you unlock team arenas(TA) where you can basically pick your own team which is 4v4 (the opposition is random ofcourse)

After 5 wins here not consecutive you unlock Heroes Acent(HA) which is 8v8 this is tough though and not very begginner friendly there are several kinds battle types here:
* Annihilation or Priest Annihilation
* Capture the Relic
* King of the Hill
* Capture Points
* Relic Run

what I think you should of done is joined a begginner friendly guild and asked them how pvp works here rather than just making suggestion threads on things that alreadt exist .

And if you can't wait to get 5 consecutive wins in RA (Random Arenas) scrimage,(1v1 though not officially called 1v1) with your guildies at your guild hall, this doesn't actually mean anything and there is no title and no faction(i think) to it but it's fun.
There is also Heroes battles (officially called 1v1) that is you have nightfall or eye of the north, that you can do but they are bit competitive.You basically need three heroes for this and you are ranked how well you do, i would stand clear of this for a while.

You can GvG(Guild versus Guild) with your guild and this is 8v8 put this is diffiuclt and not begginer friendly, once again you are ranked for this so stay clear of it for a while

synchronise into a battle? what is that supposed to mean? once the battle started there is no synchronising in, is it??

sure, I understand what random means, but my type of random would be another thing in comparison to team arenas. I already played team arenas but i personally dont like it that much.

I think that this random type is kind of interesting, because there is still a little bit of teaming but the random factor isn't missing.

thx for your opinions!

But don't you don't you understand RA is testing your skills in a random enviroment while TA is testing your skills in an organised enviroment. RA you have to be self sufficent, it's harder to speacilise in one thing, because you have to think about healing you self aswell, don't alway have a monk or rt healer.
By the sounds of it you you need a secret that has been passed down bu the ages the secret of http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

It means communicating with your friends so that you can go in at the same time and have a chance to be on the same team. Everyone is on the same 30 second timer to join a team, so if you wait for the timer to reach 1 second, then hit the cancel button and go in 2 seconds later, you and your friend will both be at a 29 second countdown to join a team. No one knows if starting at 29 seconds increases your chances to be on the same team, or if starting at 5 seconds will get the same results, but it doesn't hurt. Its easiest to get on ventrilo or teamspeak that way you can let your friend know when you went in, or you can explain to cancel at 1 second and go in 2 seconds later, that way you don't need ventrilo.

RA is getting lucky to get 3 other people that don't suck. No matter how good you are, if the other 3 are terrible they will drag you down. You don't worry about healing yourself, you keep going in and losing until you get a healer, by setting up to heal yourself you are gimping yourself and you have a terrible bar when you do get a healer.

Basically, you think that since we have TA (4) and RA (1+1+1+1), we should have something I'd probably call Buddy Arena (2+2). Since I'd rather have ANet work on other reasonable stuff, I'll give you some advice.

1. Enter at same time with your buddies at RA.
2. Hit Cancel on 3.
3. Enter on 2.
4. Wish upon a star that it works.

There is RA and there is TA and that's what you get.

Either deal with the random crapassness of RA.

Or get more friends and get better at TA.

Thanks for coming in, you may go now.

R stands for retards in RA. Which means you can get leavers, tanks, terrible players, and flamers.

Don't like losing with them on your team? Do AB or TA

AB allows you to join with 3 friends to form your group of 4, and then get 8 more randoms, similar to what you propose for your idea of RA.

epic.

TA you used to be able to enter with less than 4, so why would they change this unless for a reason.

Also it would become unfair to bring it in considering you would have a major advantage over RA teams.

This isn't a good idea in all, to many noobs in RA its hard enough to get glads high unless you monk in ra. I recommend getting a PvP guild and doing TA with good players its alot better than RA.
